Family owned and operated, Lamonts winery was established in the Swan Valley and commenced commercial production in the late 1970s. From those small and quite modest beginnings Lamont's has built a brand based on premium and super premium wines, delicious food and genuine service.
The history of the winery was established in 1978 with the ethos of producing full flavoured, premium table and fortified wines. Initially only Swan Valley grown fruit was used in the wine production, however since 1997 grapes are widely sourced from all Western Australian regions which importantly provides a balanced portfolio of wine styles.The first vintage at Lamont Winery was a Cabernet Sauvignon in 1978. The following year produced a blended white made from Verdelho, Semillon and Muscadelle, then named White Burgundy.
